THE VINEYARDS

Read what "Wine Spectator" had to say about the West Side of Paso Robles!

The winery is located in the heart of West-side Paso Robles in an area know as Templeton Gap, surrounded by the home vineyard’s Zinfandel planting.  Our home vineyard began in 1989 with the first planting totaling a modest five acres of vines.  Slowly over the following ten years we continued planting the Templeton Gap site, completing the vineyard at our current size of 66 acres.

Currently on the home vineyard, we are producing Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Syrah, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay.

The old saying "Great wines are made in the vineyard" is a way of thinking here. With the beautiful Santa Lucia Mountains as our backdrop, we strive to bring out the truly unique character of our wines in every bottle.  Utilizing sustainable and low impact farming methods, we are allowing the basic elements of the soil, water, and sun to come through in the flavors and aromas of the wine.

The vines are carefully preened through the summer.  We constantly thin out any bunches that may be inferior or behind in maturation, only allowing the very best of the best to make it to harvest.  At the winery, the fruit goes through a final screening to assure only the ripest bunches are loaded into the destemmer. Through this process we hope to bring the fruit into the winery at it’s very best, and bringing to you a great wine experience. Cheers!
